I didn’t deny that she was a victim. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t responsibility that she shares in this. What Keenan was convicted of does not warrant a life sentence. It just does not.
I can't help but feel that the 15 year old girl who was off doing and being where she probably shouldn't be, really understood/comprehend the lives she would be ruining just to get out of trouble? Did they tell her, in CO it's a life sentence for 1st degree kidnapping? I didn't know that. Not defending her, just see them all being misused by the System for other people's gains. I pray that one day she will be convicted and adult enough to tell the truth, so my nephew can get an opportunity to physically know family again.
You clearly have no idea what happened. She WAS RAPED and kidnapped and held at GUN POINT. She was and still is my best friend and I can tell you 1000 % that she wouldn't be worried about getting in trouble as she had one of the most understanding mothers out there. What she told WAS AND IS THE TRUTH. Keep defending your abuser/ rapist nephew but you have no idea the pain and the hurt he has caused her at 15 years old and still causing over a decade later.
How come there is no evidence Keenan raped her tho ? Girls go under medical examination for rape and there was never proof they found her to be sexually abused? Not to mention that their is another article that says she went with the men to drink she wasn’t gone for days in order to be a kidnapping of 1st degree and they never found the gunshot cases where she stated they shot up the air to scare her ? This case seems infair and she needs to speak up.
Yep because there isn’t any evidence of the rape which is why he wasn’t actually convicted of that the jury made a “no decision” on that. They deemed the threat of it as part of the kidnapping. Keenan has always maintained that he had no sexual contact or interaction with her at all and that was made known.
And yes also it was not an incident that lasted for days and the victim was friends with the co-defendant that was convicted in his own trial alongside Keenan.
No the problem is she was a child when it happened. You shouldn't name the victim. I don't know her, but do know you don't name victims of crimes if they occurred when they were under 18. This may hinder Keenan's appeals.

Isn't it wrong to name the minor victim in the case? She was 15 when this allegedly happened
It would be a problem if she was still a child.

In this instance the court itself revealed her name associated with this case in subsequent appeals. Its public record at this point.
